Remove /warp passive and /warp mob

    /warp passive makes farming animals useless, which basically means it removes a huge part of the game
    /warp mob needs to go because it makes mob farms useless too.
    These are huge parts of skyblock and it really sucks that this is just useless on this server because of /warp passive and mob.
    If you removed them, people would have to make their own farms, the price of those resources would go up, economy should get even better, and player play time would increase too.
    Seriously it's a no-brainer. They need to go.
    I have only been on the server for about a week now and I get so bored because I really don't have anything to do because I'm not a fancy builder, I want to produce items to sell and this server severely lacks ways to make money.
    Also, removing these shouldn't harm donations at all because none of the items you get from mob farming is linked to donations. I can't stress it enough how much better it would be for players if they were gone.

    Warp animal/passive and /warp mob have been part of the server for a very long time. Since I joined in 2013 it’s been there.

    The wraps are not useless and it doesn’t make farming useless. Warp mob has damage on so it’s harder to get mobs. People strive to make their own grinders with spawners so they don’t risk dying.

    Warp animal is simply for people who can’t afford spawners to go and get food easier and supplies like wool. It’s nice to have for new players.

    If you cannot build nice things like me, I suggest using schematica and build something great. Create casinos to make some grass or perhaps start trading something like stone or dyes or even use warp animal to get wool to sell.

    Being bored is something you can fix. But we shouldn’t have to remove warps for that

    Okay addressing your points:
    1. Been there forever: doesn't matter except for the few people who may get upset at first but I'm sure if they are still playing since 2013 they will get over it
    2. They aren't useless: No, they kind of are. We don't need them, and the challenge of not having them will make playing much better.
    3. We don't need spawners. On an old server I played on, we saved up for a spawn egg of whatever animal we wanted, and bought 2, and then breed them. This is gives a whole sense of accomplishment in the process and gives value to the items. As for spawners, well, that's a whole different story. I personally like that they are on this server, and currently the amount of effort needed to obtain a spawner is good, if not, then a little too easy. But spawners are integrated well on this server. Spawn eggs seem to be overlooked though. Their use value would be much more if we removed /warp passive
    4. I don't want to build nice things lol. not yet at least. I wanna build farms, sell stuff, and make money. then build nice things.
    5. The server is too easy. that is why it is boring. It's not fun because there isn't anything to do! They either made it useless to farm all the basic items, making them worthless, or removed it as a whole (such as iron golem farms). Seriously, how do I make money without donating? Sell gold? That's like the only thing that is sustainable at farming and worth anything. Other that that it's just random items here and there.

    If you look at my other post in suggestions, you will see I have many ideas on how to bring more ways for people to make money and keep people playing for longer which will also in turn bring in more donations for the server admins.
    Right now, I have very little reason to continue playing on this server unless I wanna grind gold all day just to increase my silly level which to me, I really don't care about.

    No support. Many new players go to that warp passive mostly for food or sometimes leather for leather armor. And warp mob shouldnt be removed because its somehow a challenge you know trying to get past some obstacles to get to the tower up. And with warp mobs being removed it would have a negative effect on the shulker boxes as warp mobs is the main source of these shulker boxes.

    No support. These warps help new players that are trying to get materials. If you are worried about it making Skyblock less of a challenge, then just don’t use the warps. No one is forcing you to use them.

    Good morning, Mr. Pro.

    First let me thank you for taking the time to post a suggestion and then give feedback on your reasoning. This is extremely helpful because it lets us know the "why" behind your idea and gives an idea of what the underlying problem could be. It was refreshing to see a concise explanation with some pretty good points.

    At this time it is unlikely that the warps for animals and monsters will be removed. This is for a couple reasons, one of which stems from our history as a server.

    You are correct that these warps give an alternative to players building their own farms. To some extent that does lessen the "challenge" of the experience. This factored into the construction of the warps themselves: There are significant drawbacks to using them vs. building your own "grinder" setup.

    Both warps require a lot of effort to gather items. Passive animals spawn slowly, while the hostile ones actively damage the player (/god, /fly and /feed are forbidden there). Players are trading their time and effort for immediate rewards and items.

    Alternatively they could invest that same time and effort into building a farm: Spending the time doing that means no immediate items versus a long-term, safe and infinite production.

    People have different play styles. Some enjoy the quick item gain while others (yourself) like to plan ahead and build. It is a balancing act trying to make both sides happy. In your case Mr. Pro I would recommend simply pretending the warps do not exist and playing the way that makes you happiest.

    Effort values aside, there is one more non-obvious concern: Skyblock is a legacy server. We've come up through the 1.7.x versions all the way to 1.12.x... which prompted a unique problem. A normal Minecraft server would be able to reset the map or provide a "resource world" for players to get the updated items. SkyBlock simply cannot: We have no terrain.

    So introducing new items like Shulker boxes is difficult without The End. To remedy that we provided Shulkers that could be fought at the Monster warp and later on added the box pieces as prizes in MobArena. Another concern are "pet" animals like ocelots and parrots-- I'm sure you can see the problem figuring out how to incorporate those in a way that feels unique and fair.
