• There should be this new command called /poke to poke people for fun!

• /ping should be on the new server, it was on the old server.

• /boop should be a command where the console msgs you back "Boop!"

• /animalsound should be a command to hear an animal sound.

"/ping" could be used to fabricate messages to false report a player as it would display a given string back to you if specified. There really wasn't a use in the command as testing server response time or connection can easily be done with any other command or simply messaging yourself.

The boop command just seems pointless to me, but if the developers want to implement it, then it's their option. Again, this would be as useless as the "/ping" command as it's easily replaced by existing commands.

As for "/animalsound", I'm pretty sure sounds in Minecraft are generated at a specific point and are played to all clients in a specific radius. Again, there really isn't any point in this, and if it were implemented, then it would quickly become extremely annoying without a cooldown.

EDIT: Looking into it, Bukkit allows sounds played at specific players, though I'm fairly certain Skyblock uses Bungeecord/Spigot now. Still, my opinion still stands that it wouldn't be of much use as anyone may just go into a singleplayer world to spawn the animal or play the sound.

Regarding usefulness, there really isn't any other than potential harm, but I guess that's the point.

 

If using command blocks, it can be done to just one player

 

Command blocks will never EVER be added in game ever again.

 

None of these are useful except /ping, no support for everything else

No support. Most of them can be abused to be annoying and has no point in whatsoever. Beside /ping as Krissy said was used to frame report players as some players used it to frame others and its a good reason that they have removed it.

 

Spigot is basically just an improved Bukkit. 99% of Bukkit extensions will work on Spigot.

 

I never claimed that it'd have complications in execution, but thanks for the information, I guess.
