So, there is this girl I like in school. Normal school crush, been liking her for a while.
And yesterday, a classmate comes to me and says that she likes me, while I was working in a school project.
Now, it may be my lack of self-confidence and my realistic view of my problems, but I really think he's messing with me, for a dare, to laugh, or because he may be a jerk.
He's not a bully, but he is pretty popular. We're not best friends, we're on good terms and he is a nice guy. About my crush, we've talked a little,
Sat next to each other for 2-3 months, and worked on a group project together. The guy I talked about previously claims to be her male best friend, and to be fair, they talk a lot.
He's telling me to ask her out, but if it's a dare, you can bet my crush will gossip about it.
I'm thinking about asking if his claims are true to her before asking her out, but I want to know what you guys think.

Just ask her, confidence is attractive (even if its false confidence, she doesn't know that haha). Don't be like "Hey, your friend told me to ask you out, so here I am" haha. Ask if she wants to go see a movie that has come out. Movies are great because you may not be talking during, but you will have a lot to talk about after, so all of the awkwardness will probably be gone by then. And after the movie and things are still going good, see if she'd like to go grab some food or something.
    Best of luck!!
