Three out of the five members of the security council have launched air strikes on Syria in a response to their chemical attacks. If anyone has any thoughts please share them below if love to talk to you about this monumental event.
Because I live in the US, our system is different than others. Honestly, I hate most things Trump does, but this one is one of the few I do appreciate. Apparently there's someclaim that the US president did something unconstitutioal by firing at another nation without congressional approval. Im pretty sure (correct me if I am wrong) after 9/11, Congress passed the 21st amendment that allowed him to "punish" a country with weapons, if they have done something wrongdoing. But I feel like we need to block Assad's supply to chemical weapons and punish him more idfk
its stupid, Syria launched a chemical attack, they killed people omg lets kill more people by launching air strikes. YEAH! that'll show them not to kill people!
I agree on your statements said here and yes the President is able to launch a presumptive strike in a situation like this. What he did was constitutional. I’m guessing you’re a little bit uninformed here. People were not the target of these strikes. The kinds of missiles they used are extremely accurate and targeted directly at the research centers and facilities that make it possible for Bashar al Assad to attack his own people.
Syria’s killings were intentional. Using gas to poison children for gods sakes the fact you can even totally look past that is disgusting. The airstrikes were sent making sure there would be no innocent casualties.
I was completely joking, I know nothing about the situation and am not even old enough to vote so don't see the reason in me knowing things. Xerothias someone a little salty they got no supported
