    Mob Spawn is enabled.
I have a squid spawner, but it will not spawn. I have tried without water, I have tried moving it in the floor, up 1 block, 2 blocks, 3, 4 , 5 & 6 but it still wont. Any Ideas?

I think I had this on /classic a longg time ago

I'm pretty sure squid spawners need to be below y level 40

I think it must be fully under water! If that doesn't work I would recommend going to Lee or a mod!

I will, I saw a forum that said it needs to be around sea level or 46, but that didn't work. It worked without water on classic so idk why it wont on here. Leeeroieee any ideas?

I suggest trying something first before you contact Lee. I'm sure he gets tons of tags every day.

I'd say just use spawn eggs! BEWARE they might despawn!

The spawner needs to be between y =40 and 62
The spawner needs to be in water (mine wouldn’t spawn without water so I assume this)
And of course mob spawning on.

Squids can spawn in any biome so it shouldn’t be a biome issue

    Ok
Ok, mine is between 40 and 64, however it isn't in water. I didn't put it in water because its inconvenient for the type of grinder I want to make. I am trying to re-create Mingo_x's squid grinder that was built on classic. It doesn't use water which is why I am confused

    No.

You dont need water in order for squids to spawn. You can place it somewhere in the void (I believe the players up told you where in y axis but try moving it in x and z axis and it might work) as it requires trial and error just like the slime spawner.

TimmmyBoi Everyone already said this but here are the requirements for what you gotta do
    1. y 40-62
    2. No need to fully submerge. You can safely leave it above the water.
