So after a bit of talking and some thinking. I and OmgItsSheep have decided to create care packages which will be given to the new players of the community to help them get started with their island and creations. Each care package, which will be stored in a shulker box, will contain the basic building blocks and tools: cobble, stone, and wood, godded stone tools. It will also include some extra necessities such as food and charcoal. So I'm here to let everyone know of our upcoming plans. If any of you are feeling helpful and would like to help supply some materials for the packages. Please let either one of us know! Useful items would be the basics: stones, woods, tools, etc. This would really help! This is not necessary, don't feel like your obligated to do so.
Is not this a survival server? If some new player needs help or any material in small amounds i usaly help them. And now when the tradeshops fighting against each other about having lowest prices this is not needed in my opinion. Maybe some items needs to be provided to new players like an extra obsidian, some iron and some extra sand. Just saying my opinion
I can donate some obsidian, some ice, cobblestone (I have lots), stone and some wooden planks. Just PM me in game
Here's an idea. Let's write a tutorial book with basic warps, builds (like cobble gen)and other essential game systems in there. This will save time in helping players learn to play.
Agree with GAMER1232012, what would be more useful for noobs, rather than some free blocks, would be access to public cobblestone generators, mob grinders, public enchanting tables and anvils, etc. These are the things I struggle with, not getting cobblestone, wood or food.
