I love the server, and also redstone.
A lot of the time, anything more than basic tier redstone doesn't work on the server.

This is especially the case if timing is important, most notable in contraptions which involve velocity (elevators/horizontal movement) and clocks (some generators) (anything larger than 3v3 door).

This is probably due to the "accelerating" and "decelerating" of redstone time which is caused by an uneven ticks per second.

Is it possible to reduce the ticks per second? This would fix redstone contraptions. It would probably reduce overall server lag/ hosting burden as well and hence reduce lag spikes and general lag for players due to less calculations per second.

    Cheers, :) Thanks for reading

Thank you so much for taking the time to make a suggestion!

Unfortunately, your suggestion has been declined. Our server is designed to operate at 20 ticks per second, and while there are times when the server is unable to achieve this goal, there are many times when it can do so, and artificially reducing tps further would result in laggy player and mob movement needlessly. We will continue to monitor and address performance issues as needed.
