OK you know why I'm here and what this is, let's go! Your in-game name: hapilyDamaged What time zone are you in? Pacific What country do you live in? United States What languages do you speak? English and Typoneese Do you have 2FA enabled? Yes/No No Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc) Yes, Fraps, Imgur, YouTube Why do you think you should become a mod? To moderate chat at this point. I've been holding off on applying for mod until I'm familiar with what is new since being a mod previously in 2012. Unfortunately the chat is out of hand and I am often online and unable to assist. How long can you be active on the server everyday? 3-10 hours. How long have you been playing Skyblock? On and off for a few years since starting in 2012 Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game) Once from .net but it was a misunderstanding. They actually used my ban appeal as an example of how to make a ban appeal back then. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? In addition to being a mod here after playing for some time I've admin'd on other servers and ran a couple of my own for a while. It was a lot of fun. Do you meet the requirements for staff? Yes/No Yes At this point I am applying for permission to /kick, /mute and /tempban Any /mute or /tempban will come with documentation posted to the forums. It will not be used frivolously. I am logged on while I am at work from 8am - 4:30pm PST at least watching chat if not playing. And then after I get home I play in the evenings as well. As there is a lack of AI doing the muting and banning of advertising and spamming I hope you all will consider me as a human alternative! Thanks for reading. -hap
Neutral but leaning to support. I’d just like to see you be a little more active on forums is all. Good luck!
Neutral. Since you have been back recently from your break or whatever happened. Anyways I want to see you more active in forums and in discord mainly. Good luck!!
I do admire that you went straight to the point. However having prior experience I think you know better than anyone the position is more than commands. Your application does lack that acknowledgement which is a little concerning. Pick up on forums activity, have your hand in chatting to the discord folks and get yourself out there more. Experience the community and see the kind of things that make good staff. The ones that are in touch with the players, such as Laini often do much better and get fewer complaints. The more engaged you are with the people of a server the more you learn. Good luck!
I don't usually comment on applications unless I'm going to support. My initial judgement is neutral, but I see a lot of potential with this application, so in the near future it may well become a support. I've seen you a couple of times in chat, enough to recognise the name, however I haven't seen you too much around forums or the discord. If you pick these up, I can definitely begin to think about supporting. As for the application, it's good - straight to the point. However, for me, it lacks a full understanding of the job required. I'm sure it's something that would be picked up quickly in the event of being promoted, but chat is only half the task. I like the humour included in your listed languages. It's nice to see a little personality.
Hey all thanks for the advice. To be clear I'm not interested in MOD position at this time. The reason for my rushed application was because I saw a need for chat moderation. There was a wave of advertising and general spamming and if it is still happening I want to help deal with it. See you all in game and thanks again for the advice! -Hap
Ah, I see, it's completely understandable. If you're not currently interested, would you like this locked, or kept open?
Your mod app is very short and concise. You've done away with the traditional walls of text, and boiled it down to a few sentences. I'll be neutral leaning to support, since I don't know you at all and you haven't done anything stunningly good or bad. You're active and experienced, and I think you'd do in a pinch when dealing with spammers while staff are offline

Thank you so much for taking the time to apply for staff on Skyblock. Unfortunately, your moderator application has been denied as you have been inactive for over one month. We are looking for active staff, so we will only keep active applications open. This thread has been moved to Denied Applications. If you are dissatisfied with this action, please report this post, and a moderator or administrator will reconsider it. You may also feel free to fill out another application in the future. Kind regards.
