So in classic sb my favorite thing was my leaf sword. Basically it removes leaves at high speeds while still dropping a large amount of saplings. How you make it is /enchant 32 5 /enchant 35 3, unfortunately, neither of those enchantments are available on swords! Why is this?? Honestly idk. But PLEASE I want one so bad... maybe have a villager at warp trade offer a leaf sword for an unenchanted diamond sword plus 5 grass or something. That would be easy (I could do it myself).

A leaf sword is like using a fortune axe but instant, like using shears or pistons but fortune.
It just makes life simpler, and easier to get more saplings, and cheaper so you don't need pistons, and nicer looking. It also has no huge impact on the economy, go ahead and make it cost many diamonds if you disagree.

 

A leaves are annoying. B leaves are fun to break quickly. C it just isn't the same without my leaf sword

 

Also axes don't break any faster than your hand.

 

Personally, I wasn't aware of this and have coped just fine, getting enough saplings to sustainably grow trees on both servers. Other people have also managed, therefore, no support.

Use a leaf crusher design. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials for machines that break the leaves automatically with pistons double/triple extenders. These can break all the leaves in fractions of a second depending on what design you use.

 

I've never heard of a "leaf sword" if you wan't to mass remove leafs then shears are a good option, and we have /kit sapling. You can always buy them from others also.

 

Theoooooooo my dude. leaf swords are used for clearing out large amounts of leaves and not having a crap ton of blocks. shears just make blocks.

 

I'm aware of that, you don't need to keep the leaves. Thats why I offered the solution of /kit sapling.

 

Normal swords break leaves faster without the block.

 

No support. It would be easy to add, but I think it wouldn't be useful, and it doesn't really have a place in Skyblock. As others have said, you can use shears to quickly get rid of leaves, and there are many designs out there that automate tree farming, allowing you to collect saplings from trees very quickly.

 

Then add /kit sapling for dark oak saplings! And everything else!

Ok then just wait a while till more important things are implemented. I'm not really asking for it to be now (although it could be if you spent 5 minutes knowing what to do) its just it is SO useful and nice and msg me if you want to try one out in classic.

 

I understand that it might be useful, but I do not think that it is necessary to add this in just to be able to get leaves/saplings faster. There are many tree farms out there that you can look up on the internet. My coop has one that automatically breaks the leaves and I could easily get a stack of saplings in 10 minutes from it. I don't see any reason for this to be added in.

Let me clarify: the point of a leaf sword is to quickly and inexpensively break leaves while still getting a large quantity of saplings.

And these are the opposing points:

/kit sapling only gives oak saplings,

piston crushers are expensive on a large scale,

any tool but swords do not insta break,

it is expensive to buy saplings from elsewhere,

waiting and /ma j is too inefficient/slow,

shears do not give saplings,

this not to "manage" this is to have fun while chopping trees,

and correct: this is NOT A MAJOR ISSUE, but it doesn't mean this should not be implemented.

These are ALL the opposing points so far, and none of them are completely valid. Anyone have more (or one I missed)?

Well how els can you get leaves and plus /kit saplings gives you a sapling to get wood and leaves that's the purpose of it! You'll manage like all of us! It does not really fit in with skyblock!
