I can sum it up pretty easily To get a lot of sheep for wool was easy via repeatedly spawning sheep with spawnmob. To mine stone afk for long hours would need /repair which could be done by repeatedly To make mobs spawn out of spawners faster than usual you could use /spawner repeatedly on the spawner. While generally these things are not a concern if it was used in moderation, there must have been people abusing these heavily and causing issues to the server, probably along the lines of lag. This of course is why cool downs are in effect and sheep have been removed. Afk farming on the large scale often causes the most issues, just like how it did on Org. These things made it easier to do at the risk of potentially lagging the server with entities. If things like this become widespread and abused heavily then they will be taken away. As i've said before, the community needs to be less selfish and consider the actions they take because they don't just affect themselves, but everyone else. Theres no point being rich on the server if you have no respect for anyone else.
It is however still unfair for those who do not abuse. We did pay for a rank with specific perks and I understand that it states rank perks are subject to change but the things taken away are some of the essentials.
Drogo was using spawnmob to gather wool, but the sheep would die instantly and so they did not cause lag. Now with the cool down, Drogo must keep lots of sheep alive which will cause lag. Logic??
Yes, but with the cool down its only use will be to slowly build a mass of sheep for sheering which will surely cause greater lag.
yeah you make a really good point. while I understand they might want to somewhat fix the economy, the introduction of these ranks was sure to change it anyway; why try and revert it now?
