• Why do YOU think you were banned? I was banned for death threats + blatant disregard of chat rules.

• Were you ever banned before on SkyBlock? If so, what for? I have been banned once for griefing, but then I was un-banned 3 minutes later having discussed it was an incorrect ban.

• I am sorry for violating the chat rules and I fully understand why I was banned. I'm not going to beg to be unbanned, as I myself see it is a perfectly reasonable ban as I was bypassing the filter, sending death threats and more. I was sending death threats as a joke to Houzo but he may have misinterpreted it and again, I see why. I typed "go die urself" then I put "jk ily", which I should have never done in the first place.

Houzo tried covering my message up by checking my level rank and realname. A mod trying to do their job "quickly and efficiently" wouldn't have looked twice at this and ban the player instantly. I expect more of you SakuraWolf & Wonkie. I really do.

Look closely and at the back it says "kidding ily" if again you're trying to cut corners of doing your job properly. I'm sorry if this post shows a lack of respect to staff, but I'm really quite infuriated that you didn't check twice.

Hi Nub, thanks for appealing. As you might know, death threats or wishes can be quite a sensitive topic for many people. Adding to that, it does not really change much when you mean it as a joke. Houzo has told me that he was quite offended by your remark telling him to ‘go die yourself’, which definitely isn’t an appropriate thing to say. I did see the ‘kidding ily’ message below it on further inspection, but, he was still offended by it.

On to the chat offences part, saying those words in chat many times is not appropriate. As this server accommodates a range of players with different ages, I hope you can understand that you shouldn’t be evading the filter. It’s there for a reason.

To add onto Wonkie's remarks, since this is also partially my ban and since you also tagged me: I do want to make it clear that this wasn't a "rushed job" and your remarks that were seemingly blocked by the pop-up of your name were not ignored or unseen. Even given that, it doesn't make your message of "go die yourself" acceptable. It can be misinterpreted, it can be offensive, and that's why its against the rules. On top of that, you were purposefully avoiding the filter just minutes before this comment was made. Both of these things are not okay, which is why we decided to put a ban in place - so that we can discuss it and come to an understanding!

Anyhow, that's all I wanted to add. Wonkie will take care of the rest of the ban!

 

I agree with you there, but "go die yourself" "jk ily" is nothing compared to "go hang yourself your family doesn't love you and never will just end it". I meant is at as a joke and I'm sorry, but I do think I deserve a second chance as it is my first chat related offence. I wasn't thinking clearly at the time and I didn't think anyone will find it offensive.

 

Yes I understand but if I was honest, Houzo wouldn't find that offensive and he'll only say that to get me banned. He's a tough guy.

Chat offenses consist of bypassing the chat filter, spam and flaming (arguing). Punishment of breaking this rule depends, but usually a warning and if still fail to abide by the rules, a mute.

Extreme chat offenses are to be taken really seriously. Examples of this are racism, death wishes, judging a person for who they are (e.g religion), abusing and bypassing the filter all the time and much more. Punishment of breaking this rule depends, but can result to a ban or a permanent mute.
