Architect here! And I'm back with an update on my castle build. Some of you (basically anyone who was on the server 2-4 years back) might remember /Warp Castle. For those of you who haven't seen it, you're going to be in for a treat: A massive stone castle done entirely with skyblock items (no creative items or required creator mode) Each block is placed by hand and it originally took months to build. Well. I'm going to start posting a couple every now and then as to how the progress is going on the rebuild. Note that each block is still being placed by hand, but because I now have an overlay, instead of taking months of having to count blocks on a second screen it should only take a few weeks. Assuming I manage to get all the necessary materials. I mean really. What are the chances I'm going to come up with 147637 blocks of Netherrack in order to complete it according to my original model by the end of that time? Who knows. Maybe I'll even have it landscaped over time with an additional 5-600 stacks of dirt/grass in the surrounding area... But keep an eye on this thread for photo updates. Until next time, Architect - GG!
I'll be traveling the next few days back to my home where I'll be able to work a lot more on this, but you should be able to tell that this is no small build. It's roughly 196x192x150, contains almost 1.5 Million blocks... Plus any landscape! Enjoy!
Gosh I LOVE it! You are such a great builder and I remember warp castle but never knew it was made by you though it was AWESOME too!
Update #3 I know it's been a week - I've been a bit busy - as you'll see in these pictures! More updates to come in the next few days - the interior is the next project - I have the majority of this done - the hard part right now is making enough netherbrick to complete the inside.
Looking absolutely fantastic. Building with netherbrick is a pain, with all the cooking and whatnot, especially if, like me, you're not very financially inclined. Can't wait for it to be released for the public
Lycel prior to the Nether opening? Yeah. It was going to take somewhere around 150K Netherrack. Roughly 73 Stacks of grass just in Netherrack alone. The coal/charcoal took a good few hours of Semi-Auto farming to get enough to get started. I still have about 25K left to chew through now. Should be good. And much more cost effective now that I can stripmine the Nether
