Reports are still helpful though. If there are no mods online and a whole load of racist spammers come online, yes, we need that reported. If you don’t like the people, ignore them. You have an option to block out whatever they do.
Honestly it is really obvious if you are genuine about your help or you are doing it just to look good and get mod. It isn't about how many reports or if you are telling people off in chat or lecturing others. It is about showing that you are a capable, mature and genuine person who is willing to help
I usually report smaller offences to mods on the discord like mild spamming I reserve reports for more serious offences and repeat offenders. Reporting users isn’t petty but reporting for every tiny thing is a bit overkill. I wrote a response detailing this kind of thing on another thread.
Look there are momens where reports are necessary like u said when someone is being racist, extreme spam, nick abuse etc. But those mini mods reached the level if u say 2 messages after each other its spam and they report you. Honestly for me its ineffective if a 12 yr old random kid tells me to stop "spamming".
Mods are great. If people feel they can benefit the server they will. Do you mean mods already or people who are applying?
Yeah people don’t need to be telling people not to spam when there are mods on. And we’re on a lot. Answering questions is fine except for when there’s 6 people answering the same question, because then it creates a whole load of spam.
I don't mind them, I only mind them when like 3 staff members are online and the staff are doing there jobs and kids are like mini-modding when staff is online. Other than that I don't care.
Yeah usually it's easy to see if someone is completley tryharding to become a mod, which usually ends with them not getting it. I agree it's annoying and people should try to have a little fun instead of wasting their time looking for someone who posts something more than twice.
Rude, who cares if they want to be a mini mod they are helping out the server when staff can't be online.
If someone reports 30 times a day, let them. You're not holding them at a gunpoint to force them not to report. More reports, the more better the server. I barely report, does that affect mod chances? No. What matters is their actions and personality Sorry if I was harsh.
