Introduction Greetings Skyblock! I'm Denoument but you might know me as losttt, and this is my Moderator Applications for Skyblock.net. From the last time I was writing an application I feel like I've grown and am ready to take this job for good, so I am determined to earn it. Thanks for clicking on this thread, enjoy. In-game Name My in-game name is Denoument. However, my past names can be found here. Time Zone The time zone which I'm located in is Perth UTC+08:00. Country As you might be able to tell from my answer above, I'm located in Australia. Languages I am fluent in both English and Portuguese. I'm familiar with basic Mandarin, French and Spanish. 2FA Set-up I do have 2FA set up on Skyblock.net forums. Means of Evidence Capturing For recording I use the Mac built-in software named QuickTimePlayer and upload videos to youtube. This way I can easily share them through the URL code. As for screenshots, I use the built-in Mac screenshot system as well as the Minecraft built-in system and then upload them to imgur. Similar to the recording, I can easily share the pictures with the URL code. Activity I can be online for a fair amount each day, but it really depends on what commitments I have at the same time. I like to involve myself with extra-curricular activities at school but I still make time for Minecraft. I'll include a rough guide to how active I can be each day bellow. In-game Monday - 1-2 hrs Tuesday 2-3 hrs Wednesday - 1-2 hrs Thursday - 2-3 hrs Friday -3-5 hrs Saturday - 5-7 hrs Sunday 5-7 hrs Forums Monday - 2-3 hrs Tuesday - 3-4 hrs Wednesday - 2-4 hrs Thursday - 3-5 hrs Friday - 3-6 hrs Saturday 6-10 hrs Sunday 6-10 hrs History on Skyblock.net I've been on Skyblock.net for a while now. I haven't been "active" along the whole period of time that I've been here on Skyblock.net. However, I'm sure that I will be for a long time. If I was to say how long exactly, I would estimate I joined around 2 years ago, however, I'm not sure of exact numbers. Punishment History I've never been banned on neither the forums or in-game. However, I was once banned on Skyblock's sister server, Minetime for death wishes. It was an accident and I wasn't trying to cause any harm what so ever but I did learn from that mistake and haven't been banned ever since. Staff Experience I have been staff on a couple of different servers. They were; Moderator on Skyblock and Skywars server getting 5+ players. Administrator on Prison and Survival server getting 10+ players. Administrator on Prison, Survival and Skyblock server getting 10+ players. Unfortunately they all closed, but I'm still currently staff on; Mineverse, Skyblock's sister server. I'm a moderator on this server. In the past, I've had people say that I couldn't take the job as a moderator on two servers but I can promise to be equally as active on both servers. I've learned ways to manage my time well and I can use that to be the most efficient staff member I possibly can be. Why do you think you should become a mod? Personally, I believe I should become Moderator here on Skyblock.net because I'm determined, willing to help and experienced. I've been on Skyblock servers before and I am familiar with how the game-type works, additionally I've been on XenForo Forums for a long time and understand how to use it as both a regular player and a staff. I'm on Discord for the vast majority of the day giving me experience with how it works as well as making me a very accessible person. I believe this is crucial to a moderator. I'll always be willing to help. I won't do what I've seen staff before do when they fake reasons for not being able to help, I will help. I like going around and seeing what people need help for. I really believe that the moderator job is indeed the job for me on Skyblock.net and I'd start everyday looking forward to being able to moderate this amazing server. Trustworthy I'll keep my promises, not betray anyone and always do what what is right. I know from my past that lying or betraying someone behind their backs is a horrible thing to do and leaves a horrible feeling. So from that, I know that I'll always keep my word. Effort I'll always give everything I do 100% effort. I understand that you only get one shot at being staff here on Skyblock.net and I'll do anything and everything I can do take the most of it. I'm a guy who always wants to win and/or do really well so I give everything I can which in turn makes make give everything 100% effort. Respectful I understand that I used to sometimes make jokes which may come out a bit disrespectful, but I've changed from that. I understand that everyone has the right to their own opinions and ideas. I will never intentionally disrespect anyone as a person, their virtues, ideas or thoughts. Rule Following After the accident where I got banned for Death Wishes on Skyblock's sister server, I've always been cautious with what I say or type. I know comprehend the full importance of being cautious and it's something I take close to heart. I always familiarise myself with the rules and check back on them often. Maturity I understand that in past I haven't been mature at all, but that changed. I understand the flaws in my past actions and hope that if anyone who I have offended because of that that are reading this will forgive me. I have now matured a lot more and I've even received people state things like "You're very mature for your age". Requirements for Moderator 50 Post Count ✔ Two Factor Authentication ✔ 2 Weeks Registered on Forums ✔ Use of Skype, Teamspeak 3, or Discord for offline communication. ✔ Conclusion I understand that I've had some rough patches and that some people might think I'm still not the guy for the job, but I feel like I'm ready and hope that others can see that too. I can assure you all that I won't do what I've done in the pass and just randomly leave. I'm here 'till the end. Thank you.
Hey, Denoument! Thanks for taking the time and effort to write a well thought-out application. Not too short, or long in my opinion. You shouldn’t add this, as it isn’t relevant to Skyblock itself, and you don’t want to show yourself in a bad light. However, there can be controversy around this statement as it shows you have the ability to grow and learn from mistakes. Whether or not you choose to keep/remove it is up to you. I feel as if you should change this to relate it to rules, (rule-following, how well you know the rules, etc) because as much as it’s good to be cautious of what you type, it doesn’t really relate to why you should be a mod. Maybe you can relate it to responsibility? It’d be nice to include some qualities such as accountability, activity, etc. That’s what a lot of people look for in a potential moderator. Overall, great application. However, I will be remaining neutral as I don’t see you online a lot (could be because of our timezones) and I personally would want someone who is fully devoted to Skyblock to become moderator. I’m not saying that moderating on two servers is bad, but it’s difficult to manage the time well, especially with school and extra curriculars. ~Soodyo
I understand that I'm putting myself in a darker light, but It's the truth that I've been punished on a server that has links with .net and I don't want to try hide it. I was banned, and I admit to that but I learned and I'm not afraid to put that out there. Good idea, thank you. I will change it. Thank you, Soodyo. I understand your reasoning and I hope in the next couple of days I can make it up to you and earn your support. Have a great day! Thanks Benji!
Hmm. I really like the applicant itself, and I've seen you active on forums recently; however, I don't think I've ever seen you in-game, often. I do see the potential in you so I'm going to say Neutral. I will change to Support once I see you in-game more :3 Good Luck!
I would really want to give you support but I cant yet. I am Neutral, why? Not much active in game and not helping Thats the only reason I can see for now. Ill change to support once I see u improving and more active! Good luck
- You are already a moderator on Mineverse, a server which is quite understaffed as it is. - You don't seem to be particularly involved in our community. You need to immerse yourself more by using our forums and discord to really show that you are here for our community. It is a challenge to do when you have established yourself on another server but it is necessary to gain trust. There are people who have become moderator before who didn't know our community and caused more harm than good. If this was a Mineverse application it would be a different story because that is where you shine (obviously so since you were promoted and repromoted). I will stay neutral for now. I would like to see how you do. Good luck
Neutral since I believe you should stick to Mineverse since staff is needed most there. Basically what Krissy said.
Neutral, (probs me) but I don’t see you helping out in chat as much. May lead to support in the future. Good luck mate
Neutral, because I haven't really seen you in game or on forums much. Of course, moderating Mineverse is also a very big commitment and it may be difficult for you to stretch across both.
Thank you all for your inputs. I hope in the next couple of days I can make it up to you all. Thank you!
Support, if you can be a trusted builder for a bigger server, I think you could handle being a staff member. Also had a nice chat with you earlier, and I think we need more people like you being staff.
Adding on to this, I would like to see you more active. I have never seen you on, which I understand may be from time zones, but I have a lot of Australian friends that are on so I don't really know about that.
Support lost! I known you for a while now, although we dont see each other often, I'v seen you on Mineverse and you'e an excellent mod. Im sure you'll do well
Thanks so much! Thanks for the Input. For all those who have stated I'm not blending with the community or not active enough, I've been trying my hardest over the last couple of days to get on as much as possible.
