So if when the time comes, as i suspect it shall, that i chose to play only on the new skyblock server. i'm trying to decide to to do with my accumulated wealth and island. Holding onto it would be pointless so i have already decided that i will give it all away. just not sure if i should do by

1) /trusting everyone interested then unlocking my island and letting a free for all loot party (obviously id have to remove any illegal items first)

2) just doing a massive DP where i give away everything

 

Option 2 as it is more likely to go as planned as option 1 can have a few complications involved as Krissy said.

 

Option 1 would be good as the pvp factor would make the whole process that much more thrilling.

 

Player killing is against the server rules

 

Drop parties are a lot more inclusive. If you did a loot party and there were objects that were on a high level, then how will the non-flyers get to them? If you did a dp, the odds you'd get something would be a lot fairer.

 

Now I know this isn’t an option you listed but it’s something I may do myself for when the new server rolls out.

Before you give away all your rares and/or currency, give the new server a try and see if you like it, if you do, wait a month or two for diamond and grass to accumulate and then sell your .net items for .whoknowswhatitwillbecalled (aka the new server)
Assuming, and here’s hoping, that trade across servers will be legal.

If you aren’t a big fan of the new server, and lets be honest, there’s a good chance some people will and won’t like it, you still have .net currency and you could still actively play on net, without being poor. And if the time comes where you get bored of net, you could then do a big dp for the server.

 

I had not even considered this as i keep forgetting that although you cant directly attack players there's other ways to kill them. Nor did i know there was a 20 person /trust limit. So drop party i think it will be.

Although i agree this sounds more entertaining Krissy already pointed out the issue with it.

Trade was common between .net and .org when i first started playing, it was 'allowed' but i don"t think mods monitored it much as it was difficult between servers, so if you got scammed wasn't often much that could be done.

 

most of the valuable stuff is hidden in the bottom of my world from back when you could actually grieff others islands before they had ways to protect and lock them. but i get your point fly is still faster than walking

 

If you do, choose drop party. looting is not a great idea.

 

The looting party will just turn into a mess and the whole server will go nuts

 

OK so it has been decided i'm going to do a drop party or perhaps two because of the scope of the amount of things ill be giving away. if i do two it will probably be one by invite only for the greenies with maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of my grass with lots of stone and cobble and god armor and tools and food and other items that would be useful for greenies that most donors wont be interested in. then an open drop party with the rest of my stuff for everyone.

should i keep and drop diamonds or convert them to grass for a greater chance of more equal wealth distribution and the same applies to my beacon should i drop it whole where one person (who could be a donor $400 or a greenie) gets a value of 250 diamonds or sell it and drop 250 diamonds or sell those for 5000 grass to drop
