After roughly two years of inactivity, I returned to this server with my friend YigaYosh, who is new to Skyblock. Unfortunately, the swear filters detected "gaY" in his name and prevented me from using any commands containing his name. Initially, I attempted to add him to my coop, which failed as the server saw the command as a swear rather than a command. My friend later attempted to add me to his coop, and I absentmindedly accepted the request, so I am now stuck on a new island with no method of returning.

In the most ideal of circumstances, I would like to reclaim my island, as an old user by the name of ZombieKiller8778 still owns my old island. However, seeing that verifying my ownership of the island and the overall recovery process would be a hassle, I'm not investing much hope in reclaiming my island.

However, I would like for me to be able to interact with my friend, such as visiting his island or inviting him to coops, as the swear filters detect and dismiss commands as swears and are therefore not executed.

 

Maybe try inviting them with only typing a bit of their name (when they're online). Like /coop invite Yiga

 

Thanks, that solves the swear filter problem, but it continues to display "player not online", which I suspect is because we are connected to the same network.

As for island recovery, is there still prospect of reclaiming ownership of my island or am I back to square one?

 

This is happens to me too! this is way too annoying.. My nick is ShinigamiCat, contains a swear "niga" I guess.. No one can visit me nor coop me.. Help ;((

 

Sadly to get round this you’ll have to change your username.

 

Could altering the swear filter to be applied after command execution solve this problem in the future? It seems like a relatively easy adjustment to be made for the new server.

 

It’s been a suggestion to remove that word from the filter, however we are unsure whether the owners are willing to change the filter. You’re better off changing your username instead of waiting for something (if it will) happen.

 

The word is now removed from the filter. your issue should be fixed now.
