5/10, I don't like modern, pop songs, whatever they're called, but the artist can sing alright, so that's good. This is just what I was listening to when I stumbled across this thread: Soundtracks really move me and this one has some beautiful depth of emotion that ramps up through the piece. If you've watched HTTYD, that will help ALSO: HORNS. THE HORNS.
5/10 It was cool but like without words I just get really bored and lose interest in the soundtrack. May not like it at first but after awhile it just becomes amazing.
10/10 for the band, given they're from a few minutes away from I live ^v^ For the song, I actually liked it: catchy, not boring, good singing, actual instruments. 8/10. Another thing that popped up on playlist as I looked at this thread, What Comes Next? from Hamilton. I'm not a huge fangirl of Hamilton (not that into American history) but the British accent, historical instruments, and top notch singer are A+. Also, feat. my sister's animatic for lego batman, you're welcome to ignore it but who am I to deny my sibling precious views #spon
1.5/10. I wasn't a fan. Please note that the below may be exaggerated and sarcastic. The beginning wasn't bad, but at 0:30 is sounded like when my computer bluescreens and plays the same noise over and over. No tune. I'm okay with drum solos, but those are only impressive when they contain either skill of the drummer or some sort of individuality: this was just playing different discordant samples as quickly as they could. My ears began to bleed at 0:54. 1:12 was a sweet relief, and suddenly what was 'not bad' in the beginning was heaven to my ears. The song's ending essentially just repeated what it had previously done, successfully making my liver explode, my skin turn inside out, and my ears sink deep below the earth to the firey pits of hell. In seriousness, this is clearly a sort of experimental kind of music, but it's not my jam. I prefer percussive instruments to have a far lower pitch than the squeaks used as a sort of snare in the music, which kinda grated on my nerves. The beginning really wasn't awful though, the tune was catchy and the echoey xylophone style sound reminded me of raindrops and Studio Ghibli. -- This song is relatively well known, so I apologise if the person below has already heard it. A great song though with a Beatle-esque air that still oddly feels appropriate for our times despite the forty years since its release. I first heard it in Doctor Who (2007?) but you might have heard it in Megamind or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (which I STILL haven't watched!) I have no idea why I just wrote so much
