HumanVerification - Prevents SpamBots from being able to chat.

How it works: Looks like this:



[HumanVerification] Please type the following word to chat: h7f81

If player types code right, it allows the user to chat. If they get it wrong, it changes the code. If they fail to verify–10 fails–they will be tempbanned 1 minute, and if they fail again, 2 minutes, and then 4, 8, 16 minutes, 32 minutes, etc. It keeps doubling.

 

Support, I believe this is how mineverse works too.

Support, though as Krissy said, spam bots are usually real players/people that have to manually log on, and then once they are logged on, they begni a spam macro, or something of that nature. I'd have to agree with Krissy . However, I'm 95% sure there was something like a verification for sending too many messages, it could have gotten removed, or I've just lost my mind.

 

I don't notice this kind of spamming too often, but I don't see any reason for this not to be added, just as an extra precaution. So long as it's not annoying, support.

 

On some servers if you spam too much then it asks you to verify a code similar to this, and if you get it right you can carry on taking but if not after 3 tries you get muted. If we had this then we could also disable that region of not being able to use commands or talk around spawn.
