Is Marijuana Addictive?

 

Its super addictive and, yes not as dangerous as alcohol and nicotine, but still harmful to us. A couple years ago over the summer, I took a health class (as part of my graduation requirements) and we attended a health speaker presentation. The guy talked about how his girlfriend whom he met at a party was smoking. Later they two got pregnant and during her pregnancy she kept on smoking, damaging the baby and herself. When the baby was born, only 15% of the intestines were formed, thus leading the baby to have a bunch of tubes sticking out. Eventually the baby died almost a year later couple weeks before it's first birthday. During all this time, the girlfriend was still smoking weed and didn't give a sh**. That's how addicting it is and damaging it is.

If people wanna smoke pot, then I'd say let em. It's just like people who smoke cigs (cancer sticks) and binge drink.. People do it everyday. I think legalizing weed was an economically smart idea, and smoking pot is much better for you thank huffing on cigs.

The point is that by legalizing weed in california, it will spread around and be toxic. I agree its an economically good idea, however the health risks are a lot more costlier (in total) than the revenue generated from the taxation of weed. Im not sure about the last part of you post

 

Im not gonna lie, but personally I dont like weed but the the taxation does make up for it. I would support legalizing weed if the state legislature passed new laws that increase the taxation and impose harsher fines and jail time

 

~15-20 billion dollars sounds a lot better than the health risks. Confine smoking weed to special areas, kind of like cigarettes. ez pz lemon squeezeeeeeeee
