So it has come to my attention that some people on Skyblock are new to high school. I can't really name all of the people. Also since it is my last year of high school and my years of schooling, I decided to why not help out the newbies of high school and the "Kids" (Fun Fact: the Upperclassmen call the freshman kids, noobs, etc. cause they're new and young) So let's start this! Get to know your school! This may seem kinda cheesy, at least for me it sounds like it, but it does partly help you do well in your high school. Knowing your school and all the offerings it has to give, will help you get you where you need to be, after all the point of high school is to help you prepare for college or (in some cases) get you used to college. Knowing all the locations, paths, and hideouts can help you leave the campus for some off campus lunch ; or find a spot to kiss your crush (This happens all the time and I've seen people go to hiding spots around the school and do their "funny business" lool) Follow your Counselor's advice Your Counselor is your mentor to help you make the most out of your last 4 years of school. Of course you don't have to follow their recommendations, but personally, I think they will help you do your best and make you feel better. Join School Events This may seem boring and least interesting, but by joining school sporting events, you'll be having an amazing experience with your fellow friends and having one of the best nights of your 4 years of high school! Joining a football game, one of the most popular games people love to go see, is a great way to have the time of your lives Stay calm This is easy but many people tend to overthink it and end up taking tons of pressure and end up in not-so-pretty situations. Just PLEASE stay calm and do what you can. You'll be fine Take what you need This relates to the last part of the response above me, take courses that will help you and you feel comfortable with. Don't just simply take a APUSH (AP US History), AP Calc, AP Chemistry, etc. just beacuse your parents told you that you should take it. Just take it if you can handle it. If you think you're not ready, don't do it. It''ll cost ya (Of course you have to challenge yourself but don't take it to the extreme). Follow School Rules This is cheesy, but it's true. If you don't follow school rules, you'll end up working with the admin, which will eat your time to focus on your classes, thus impacting your grades a lot. That's it I guess Shout out to iballisticbunny6 and some other people, whom I forgot their names earsofjoy:
Send me a pm if you need help with high school stuff. I know how to deal with stuff for the most part. Overarching things like this thread will not come in handy when in specific situations even though it does help to an extent with other high school aspects.
Yeah, of course there will be situations that this thread wont find a solution. This is just to help out in general, not very specific. Although, some situations can be related to this.
ap classes are more rigorous than others and at the end of the year you take a test for said class, if you pass the test then you get college credit and dont have to pay for that class in college iirc
BWAHAHA You probably saw my profile post... Anyways this is helpful because I have no older siblings to whom I could have referred to when going into highschool. Since my Highschool is really big on school spirit, and since I take a Leadership class, I HAVE to dress up for every occasion. I mean it's really fun, but who wants to dress up as a meme for school? BTW ANY RECOMMENDATIONS TO DRESS UP AS???? It's homecoming week and I have to dress up every day.
Do it I need help with factoring polynomials lol LOL paying for 500 bucks for a college class? No thanks that money can be used in a better way. I mean yea we have to pay, thats the way it is, but getting college credit will lower the costs of it, which will be easier to pay back your student loan Noice Uhh for me, I dont think we have a homecoming week. I think we have spirit week. But as far as recommendations just wear something that looks good like a formal dress or something
You don't "do well" in high school. It's just a constant state of paranoia that keeps you going to school. jkjk but kinda true
