Yes, but I have also heard that the eye is doubling in size. If I am correct, the eye was 20 miles long, now it's 40. But the winds are staying at 155mph(thank god)
Praying doesn't help but people still do it (including me). I heard that all the gas stations in the south are pretty much out of fuel. The governor is sending police escorts for fuel trucks so people can get their gas and leave. People are leaving florida but the freeways are clogged with other people. Airlines have no more seats at major airports like Miami Dade, Orlando, Tampa, etc., so there's long lines of desperate at the airport terminals waiting to get out. However airlines are tryimg to use bigger aircraft and more aircraft they can possibly get to fly into Florida. Once I saw a round-trip ticket for like 1800 in economy lol. For the people stuck, the airport is going to bus them to shelters unfortunately. Honestly I feel so bad rn about the citizens of Florida and all the struggle of resources they have to face.
I feel the same way, and I'm hoping that the hurricane will keep going west, then almost completely miss Miami. But the problem is with hoping that it doesn't fully impact Southern Florida, it will come directly to Northern Florida, skim the west coast of Florida, like Tampa, and hit where I live. But either way, some part of Florida will get destroyed.
Praying won't change it. Whats worse for me is though that I'm risking losing my dad due to the hurricane. Tomorrow morning he's driving right into it to try to help fix the damage. There's a youtuber (Timmy Tomato) who has a video up talking about how he left as soon as early and still got stuck, so it's highly impossible for people to make it out. While the most we can do it pray, we can also donate.
Praying yes indeed will change nothing. What I pray for is that everyone will stay safe. I don't know how your dad though would go to Miami, but if he's going to Tampa or Orlando I guess it would be fine. Even Rick Scott said everyone should evacuate and if you cannot evacuate you should go to one of the designated shelters that they have.
