Support. Any word can be made offensive when thrown around as an insult, it's just a shame that this word is still frequently used to label something negatively. I get why the word is filtered but if someone's trying to insult someone or be homophobic they can simply rephrase and get away with it, not to mention that many people would want to use the word properly.

I so agree with this as i girl was calling me a ''fag'' and then i told Leeroieee that she was being disrespectful to the Gay community and he gave me a warning saying to use foul language!
I was sitting there like ummm she just called me a fag and u don't care!!!

 

Just posted on another thread about this, but I'd like to be able to use the word since I'm actually LGBT. Just warn/mute/ban kids for using it inappropriately. Full support!

I Feel Like It Should Be Removed For Some People If You Get What I Mean, Because Some People Are To Childish To Handle The Word Gay.

 

Now, although true, if the word were to become unfiltered, and people were to start using it in negative ways, those who used it inappropriately or in a derogatory manner could be punished through mods who see it in chat, or through people reporting them.

I mean sure, it's a tad bit more work to deal with, yet it would still allow people to use the term gay freely then (preferably in a positive sense of course).
