For the first time in a year I have come back onto the forums/minecraft to see that .org is dying. IMO the server reset is what killed a lot of people off, whats your thoughts?

.ORG has had a low playerbase (most of the time, no playerbase) for quite a while now.

I believe it was the reset that caused the massive loss of players.

Org started to lose players for a few reasons.
Net was the priority, along with mineverse. Org wasn't getting any of the new features net was hence people got frustrated.

The economy wasn't great and people mostly just afk'd at grinders and sold items: which gets repetitive. There was nothing to spend money on because majority of the rares in drops went to Net players who came to get the org heads to gain net heads from org players who got net heads (which of course were not many)

A lot of key players left. Toxic players had chased them away or they had important things to do such as work and putting their lives together.

Then there was issues with people connecting to net first, which was laggy and has constant issues with fly kick loops which make it impossible to connect to org without mods assistance; which can take time.

Finally, people do move on. It's normal. People felt there were other, better servers and went. People had an issue with the owners. Others had issues accepting things the way they were.

I don't like the word dying. Org has just reached a point where no one plays.

I must confess this is so true. When I was an org player it barely had any new features. Like for example there was a halloween/christmas or summer sale and no sale in org which got me frustrated. Also in Drop parties only heads were dropped. no other rares and ORG's tps keeps getting lower because of afk -grinders which is also another reason that caused org to lag as you said.

I don't think .org was ever significantly populated to begin with.

org is still a topic? net doesn't even have half the players it used to and will probably die soon so i think org is the least of anyone's worries.
