Leeeroieee I will make this super short. Please can you all be very careful in regards to your account safety. Recently there have been instances of accounts being stolen. This is the direct result of people forgetting the number one rule of any account you have online: Do not share your account details with anyone! If you do come across anyone who is offering things in exchange for account details or anything of that nature, please report the users to staff. Make sure to include proof. It doesn't matter what the offering is you will only end up with a stolen or banned account if you let them have your details. Spread the word, Thank-You
If someone offers you a free upgrade, a coupon code, or anything else, and tells you that you have to provide them your login information to receive it, get /realname information for the person, and take a screenshot that shows both the request for your login information and their /realname. Then contact a member of the staff team immediately in-game via private message if there's a moderator online, or via forums or Discord. Do not give the scammer any indication that they're being reported, and do not try to take matters into your own hands. Simply gather the evidence quietly and alert a staff member and we'll take care of the rest. It's very important to act quickly and discreetly, since scammers usually target multiple players at once, and your quick action can help save someone else from becoming a victim. Thanks for your vigilance and for helping to keep our community safe!
Now that's stupid why would you click a link from a stranger? *coughs* Happens to runescape players every single hour, on the hour.
Dang, this PSA might put a stop to all my account stealing! In seriousness: thanks for the heads up, hopefully this can prevent people from losing their accounts in the future.
I've witnessed a few people getting their account stolen. And I've witnessed 1 of the players got their account stolen by a friend I can say..
I hate to say if your account is on MCLeaks and someone logs in with the alt token they can take everything you own. so if you have used a compromised Hacked Client Your account may be there as an alt.
Can I just say - if you do not have security questions on your mojang account set up it would be a wise idea to do so
