Hey fellow Skyblockers, You may have noticed that we're experiencing some technical difficulties at the moment. If you try to connect to either skyblock.net or skyblock.org, you may receive one of the following error messages: We hope to have the problem fixed as soon as possible, but in the meantime, please feel free to continue browsing the forums or chat with your fellow Skyblockers on our official Discord. If you're bored, why not join me for a couple of rounds in the mob arena on our Mineverse Skyblock server? Just connect your Minecraft client to mineverse.com and from the lobby, do /skyblock. If it's your first time there, make yourself a new island (/newisland) so you have a place to store your stuff, and join the arena using the usual commands (/ma s, /ma j, /ma l). Let me know if you have any questions about Mineverse Skyblock and I'll do my best to help. Check back here once in a while for status updates. I'm sure someone will want to be the first to let everyone know when the server is back up! Thanks for bearing with us, and for your understanding.
Thanks for letting us know. A couple of things happened this week that have impacted players' ability to connect. An updated version of Minecraft was released, 1.12.1. The server hasn't been updated to support the new version yet, so you will need to connect with a 1.12 or older. See this thread for instructions on how to do that. We had a bit of an issue with DNS this week and as a result some users' Internet service providers (ISPs) are not able to resolve the server's IP address properly. You can fix this by using Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), OpenDNS servers (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220) or some combination of the two, instead of the DNS servers provided by your ISP or home router. If you use Windows or Mac, you can find instructions for changing your primary and secondary DNS servers at OpenDNS's web page. Once your Minecraft client is running version 1.12 or older and DNS is working properly, you should be able to connect. If not, your router or ISP may be blocking communication from your computer to Skyblock.net. If this happens, you may need to contact your ISP's support number for advice and assistance. Please let me know if the above fixes helped.
