Hey there, fellow Skyblockers!

I'm hearing reports that some of you may be getting the following error today when trying to connect to to the server:

That's because Minecraft 1.12.1 was released today and the server hasn't yet been updated to support the newer version. And that's why the message says "Outdated Server!"

But not to worry! There's a quick and easy fix that will have you back up and running in no time!

Just follow these six quick and easy steps:

Step 1: In your Minecraft launcher, check to see which version you're using. In the screenshot below, you can see my launcher was set to use 1.12.1 - Latest release (which is why I was getting the error screen before)



Step 2: Click Launch options and then click Add new


Step 3: For Name, give the new profile a name such as Minecraft 1.12 (any name will work, as long as it's unique) and for Version, choose the version you want to use for this profile. Anything from 1.8.9 to 1.12 should work. Then click Save.



Step 4: Click on the News button, and then click on the profile selection button.



Step 5: From the list of profiles that pop up, pick the one you created just now. Since I just created the one called Minecraft 1.12 but it could be different for you, depending on what you called your new profile.



Step 6: Last but not least, press the Play button, which should now show the version you picked earlier, and the profile name you chose for it.



Once you do that, you should be able to connect normally again.

1.12 works just 1.12.1 doesn't.

I always use 1.8.9 or 1.8.7 so I had no idea 1.12.1 was there and never knew it doesn't work anyways thanks for pointing this out

 

A little off topic, but how does one vote on polls? [I'm asking for this thread.]

Yup. It looks like it's a staff-only thing right now. I've gone ahead and removed it for now to avoid further confusion.
