Today I'm going to be talking about a story that happened just couple hours ago which reminded me about the kinds of drivers on the road. So I was driving with my mom to this fair (I have a permit and I need a parent or an adult who has a California license in order to drive) and I missed this right turn. So I took a left turn looking to find a place to take a U-Turn. At this intersection near the airport I realized that I was going the opposite direction away from the fair , so I took a right turn in hopes of avoiding to go back and to find a promising area for me to take a U-Turn. As I was turning right, this f*****g jeep takes a right turn from the lane next to me (I was on the lane near the curb) and I slammed into the brakes hard. After a second or two the jeep and I left too. My mom at first got mad at me. Later then she realized I did nothing wrong and that stupid driver of that jeep shouldn't have turned right from a second lane. It's illegal and dangerous to do. I was so close in being involved in an accident. This is a reminder that on the road not all drivers are nice and are dumb in a way, like this guy. There are several different drivers out there as far as I see. You've got ones who drive so slow and block traffic. You also got ones that are smart and friendly (like me). You've also got drivers that drive fast by you and another car at 100 mph. Those guys are the worst imo. You also got drivers that also drive insanely fast and pass you and other drivers ( this happened last night while I was driving). Lastly you got drivers who are drunk and swerve in and out of lanes and then speed up. I made this thread so that if any of you do get a driving permit or a license, just FYI there are drivers like these on the road and that you should be cautious around them.
A lot of the danger in driving is other drivers. You can know what you're going to do but have no idea about the other cars. That's why you stay in your lane (no pun intended) and hope others do the same, while still being cautious of them of course.
I can tell from my experience that is true. Whenever I get a feeling that driver is going to do something, I slow down so that if something does happen, I can stop quickly. The driver who took a right turn in the second lane today was obviously not doing what he should be doing. He scared me, my mom and my sister by doing that.
