Ok, First of all, I hate to be that annoying person who is always saying, "Fix this lag,Ugh!" but seriously, there comes a point when it becomes a little too much to handle. I believe some of these idea(s) may help solve the issue, or at least decrease the rate of lag.

• Update server (From 1.8 to 1.12) - So many players are logging on from all of these versions, causing issues with the server. Updating it might help a bit.
• Increase server Memory *This may cost money due to different types of servers, so as a warning, be advised.* Increasing the server memory will allow more storage and be able to run better
• Having more ClearLag plugins (If possible).

I have also realized that whenever the server reaches near/over 100 players, it starts to lag out. This is probably an issue due to memory.

These ideas are helpful, but Cypriot is making a new Skyblock server in 1.12, so lag will be gone there.

Overall, I support this even though a new server is being added.

 

Seeing as the server only lags when there are an excessive amount of players, having the new server could be a minor solution to they lag, as many of the players will be checking it out. And I would only assume that the new server will have less lag.

 

First of all, we've got a new server coming soon.
Second of all, we've got more than enough of threads like this?

 

Support except for updating, there's the new server for that.

Plus, I'm not sure if extra ram would cause less lag, as there is already plenty of it (20+ GB)

 

Really no fixing the lag on SB. I joined back in October of 2012 and countless of new players have joined since. Countless players making countless islands. Well over 100k isalnds in the server causing the massive lag. Plus the server could use some basic maintenance also causing lag.

Here is how to fix the lag: restart net. You can make all the suggestions you want, and say that resetting wont help anything, but what skyblock needs is a restart. I doubt it will get restarted, which is why I am only joining the new server.

 

The lag will be fixed on the new server.

 

We have Plenty of server memory
We do not need more clear lag plugins

Only thing that causes lag is bad plugins with bad coding

 

just wait for the new server aye

 

they probably won't be working on this server anymore, not this one. they're working on a new server with no lag what-so-ever so net is gonna be somewhat like .org in the future
