i feel like this is splitting the players in half

That's exactly what it's doing and it's a a horrid idea.

 

I'll stay on both of them!

 

I believe that the old server will be removed after 2-4 weeks, perhaps faster if the player count drops faster than expected.

 

I'm staying on the old server tbh, but i MAY try both

I think I'll go to the new server but will always visit the old server for memories I'll miss the current community
