Perhaps I failed to find the thread - was .ORG officially brought down for good? Just curious - should I bid farewell to all the ranks/kits whatever, or some kind of revival (with or without transferring anything) is planned? .org was either redirecting to .NET or simply refusing connections last days, but looks like no announcements were posted. Just a bit of certainty, whichever it is.
Org is not closed! It is, however, a tad bit harder to get to than it used to be. If you try to connect to the org IP, it will take you to net. To get to org, all you have to do is /economy once you connect to net. As for it closing down, no! It is not being closed down as of right now.
Last time I went on .org hardly one person and that was me. I think it should be taken down honestly because no one is on it. If no one is on it, what's the point of running it? It's a matter of demand. If thete is a demand for it, it will run, if there is no demand, why run it? Its a waste of money to keep it running.
I'm going to be honest here, Org should be shutdown. It's just dead weight now. I'm not trying to be harsh, I'm just speaking from what I know. Sometimes killing things are the best way to fix and revive your server. I've done it before, it works miracles. I personally think it would ease Cyp and noobcrew's workload, and make things simpler.
I totally disagree. Instead of shutting it down we can add new things to it, make it more popular again. I just really miss org and my friends their
I'm not saying don't revive it. I suppose I should fully disclose my thoughts: Kill the server, add new things and adjust it's flaws and unattractive qualities. Then bring it back to life. Everyone would still keep their ranks. I guess it's a restart that I am suggesting. Either way, without it's popularity it is dead weight.
