Hi! I am Minicrusher4200 and I believe skyblock could be improved with an auction system. For example, Here is the output of what it could look like:

/auction <item> <Starting Price> <info (if it is godded etc.)>

so /auction DiamondPickax 1 grass Godded and fully repaired


In order for this to work, there needs to be an auction queue. so it would say your auction is in queue position 3 or 5 etc. Only 1 auction can be held at once. The auction should end after 30 seconds of no bid.


Bidding
If a user wanted to bid on the item, they could do /bid <amount>.

So like /bid 1 grass

Example:

[Auction] Minicrusher4200 is selling a Diamond Pickax Godded and fully repaired Bid: 1 grass
type /bid <amount> to bid a price on this item.

minicrusher4200: /bid 2 grass

[Auction] Minicrusher4200 is selling a Diamond Pickax Godded and fully repaired Bid: 2 grass
type /bid <amount> to bid a price on this item.

[Auction] Auction sold in 15 seconds!

[Auction] Auction sold in 10 seconds!

[Auction] Auction sold in 5 seconds!

[Auction] Auction sold in 4 seconds!

[Auction] Auction sold in 3 seconds!

[Auction] Auction sold in 2 seconds!

[Auction] Auction sold in 1 second!

[Auction] The Diamond Pickax has been sold to Minicrusher4200 for 2 Grass!

I think all the point have already been said.
It's on .ORG - it's a very spammy plugin that works on quiet servers, and on economy servers. It would dominate chat, and frankly it's just uneeded. I never even bidded on anything on .ORG.

As everyone else said it will create more spam.

 

I wonder if it would work if only the announcement of the start of the auction showed up on public chat and as soon as you bid, you'd get private chats with the label [Auction] on who's bidding what and if the product is sold or not. Also, it would cut down a bit on spam since there wouldn't be people saying "[Auction] Selling X! Highest bid is Y by Z! Going once/Going twice/Sold to Y!" in the public chat all the time.

Although the auctioning junk part could be a problem, but might not be if auctioneers used their own common sense to see if the thing they're selling is worthless and you could add something that forbids auctions with illegals.

So, somewhere between support and neutral, if that's even possible.
