Skygod Animal Spawning Perm?

    So we were recently getting some lag issues on NET and that was mainly cause skygods spawning too many animals. Like a ton of sheeps and today we found a lot of pigs spawned so a few friends and I helped killing them to reduce lag. So my suggestion is making maybe some more duration spawning animals? Like spawn maybe 2 - 10 animals per 5 - 10 minutes at a time? Though it can slow the process of spawning too much animals thus less lag mostly but preferable to some people.


    EDIT: Maybe add the OverSpawn rule in the in depth rule thread as it is only in warp animal? Suggested by benji thanks

    In the rules, that's just on a little sign. I'm saying add it to the /rules in-game and on the forums "rules".

    i am one of the few people who survived the sheep epidemic at spawn, 2016.someone spawned in about 200 sheep and almost crashed the server. because it was at spawn, no one could kill the sheep. finally a mod got online and killed all of them.

    I always felt like the /spawnmob command was asking to be abused. I wouldn't mind if there was a time limit on how often one could use /spawnmob. If there's a rule reform soon (which I hope there is, there are quite a few additions needed at the moment), hopefully the 'no overspawning' rule is added.

    There is literally about 5 rules in /rules, and they mostly don't even apply any more. It would be really weird to add a random rule about overspawning to an outdated command.
    It is a rule, it's just not in the thread. But, only the higher ups are technically allowed to change the rules of the server (even though they have the permissions, the normal mods can't change it). So, this suggestion will probably have to be accepted by Cyp for the rules here on the forums to be changed.

    Support. Potentially could have some lag benefits, but I'm not sure if this perk could be a problem
    Anything to improve the lag is definitely good.

    A cool down would be nice but at the same time it also really frustrating.

    Reducing the mobs per chunk would be useful though. Though if the lag is entity related using /gc and summoning a mod who can clear entities in one go would be useful.
