So a few introductions have been moved to "off topic" due to players apparently using them to post farm (lol) so I suggest to have the "Introductions" section moved here instead. This way players can post on their introductions all they like without having staff worry about them post farming. I mean I really don't get the big deal about post farming anyway but given introductions are apparently a good way to post farm... besides introductions are kinda more off-topic anyway tbh.

The intro section is fine. I personally don't give a damn about this whole "post farming" thing, and frankly, I hate when moderators move threads A) Without asking B) without explaining why and C) Refusing to explain why/put it back afterwards. LIKE REALLY. Plot twist: you moderators are wrong just as often as we are, so start acting like humans rather than pretending to be gods.
Sorry, that was off-topic. Just annoys me.

So: no. This thread seems like one designed to call out the mods who are moving the threads rather than making a legitimate suggestion. Just leave intros in the intro section and let it be. Mods have been moving TMIs and such to off-topic since the dawn of time, despite their introductory nature, but it would be a lot easier if they just let people make as many intros as they like so long as they're not spamming.

So uh. Not sure if that's a concrete support or a concrete no support? I think I'm more confused after writing this than I was when I clicked this thread. Mods: get over it. Players: stop spamming. Everyone: be happy.

Not off topic, it is 10000000% true. I'm being threatened a 1 week ban if I post too much on my own introduction which is bull.
Players hardly spam on forums tbh and if they do it's in off topic anyway
    yes please
I mean I've been punished lots for 'post farming' when
    a) I had no idea what it meant
    b) It was an accident
    c) I actually didn't post farm
I really don't think post farming should be against the rules, because it's not a farm. Why do moderators care so much about other users' post counts when the users don't even care about their own? FML
I also like how the moderator who said they'd ban me for a week if I 'post farmed on my introduction' disagrees with this suggestion lol, shows how mature they are.
You know what else pisses me off? I see threads with s*** like "hello :3" or "lol i was bored so i made an intro", the fact that s*** threads like that get to stay in "Introductions" and threads that are ACTUALLY introductions get moved to off topic.

Introductions were fine when people just made ONE introduction for when they joined, which is what the forum was intended for. You are only supposed to have one introduction. People started using them for "tmi" threads or just making more unnecessary threads talking about themselves.

Personally I think if the introduction forum was used as it was intended then there's no issue. I'd hate if it were ended up being moved to off-topic. Ideal solution is just to move the threads out of there that aren't introductions.

I've seen at least four (mine being first) introductions moved to off topic for no reason, there's also this to consider:

There's a reason if it's not an introduction or you've made multiple of them.
I mean if they've never made an intro or are new, I would find it ridiculous to start moving those. People have always made them and a lot are genuine new people looking for some "welcomes" and "hellos". I only don't agree with people making multiple introductions. Exception in my opinion would be if someone made an introduction when they first joined a while ago, but then decide to make a new one after coming back from being gone, or just a simple new intro with updated info since the last one was so long ago.

It was my only one that I kept alive and it WAS an introduction.

To introduce yourself is to tell others about yourself, not fish for attention and greetings. The introduction section is to introduce yourself, not to be an attention-whore.

I think you should be allowed a few introductions, but not too many because that would be maybe overdoing it :).

Neutral, if you just have one intro and you maybe reply once 5 people have commented on it you should be fine.

That might be the case, but if you feel it is unfair you could probably discuss why they move it and negotiate a deal with them

    No support.

There's a difference between posting on your own thread saying hi and then replying to your own comment immediately, as to saying welcome ONCE.

I call bulls*** on the mods because of this.
Don't baffle me with that, you know that you're bulls***ting yourself with that comment. So you're saying "hi lol" is a valid introduction, but a detailed introduction isn't? lmao
