Thought this might be fun to write. I mean this is all in good fun anyway but maybe informative. 1. You need to ask people if they want help Actually you don't even have to offer your assistance in chat to be seen as helpful. Simply answering questions is good enough, offering to enchant or help when someone asks is good enough. 2. You need to be on every day It is all well and good if you can get on everyday for a while however when applying you don't have to be available every day. Your app won't be overlooked because you have a life 3. You must welcome new comers This is something that you might be thinking "hey, Krissy, this is something you do to look friendly and thats a good thing for staff". But no, it isn't required that we greet everyone who joins. 4. You need to report people Creating player reports isn't the be all end all. If you are helping and staying out of trouble, paired with a good application then you would most likely be considered. We don't look at how many people a player reports as a huge thing for selecting staff 5. You need to do the job of a moderator to prove you are good enough to be one Biggest mistake. If you do not have a moderator tag then you are not expected to do the job of one. And often, while mini-modding is acceptable, it can be detrimental to you becoming staff. The amount of flame and stigma with this is not worth doing it excessively. We don't need players asking others if they want their threads locked or if their questions have been resolved. Just help at the level your own permissions allow. 6. Colour is important in your application! No no no no no no no no no no no no no... it is not.
Being friendly does help with gaining support and being mean ain't going to get you promoted. So you know better chances if you are friendly.
That's providing you are not an ahole Generally the chances are not because they are favoured, it is just because they stand out so what they do is easier to see.
Welp like 3 people No-Supported my app because there was no colour XD O: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you for this. I feel like some of mod applicants want it SO bad, that they try to hard and rub off negatively on others. I think rule #1 is just act casual, professional, and be yourself!
Some moderators in the past have been blunt. In every promotion there are staff who don't really do a lot of communicating with the community.
Chill your milk jugs, as long as she doesn't say the full word or censors it, she's fine. Look: f***. I said it, but censored it.
