Skybase was soooo cool and I really miss it... I know, it doesn't really have much of a purpose since the whole trade chest things, but it still holds a lot of memories and stuff. I remember making a thread on this when we lost it awhile ago, but after we got it back it disappeared again?? Anyways, I was hoping we could get it back. I just really don't think skyblock.net is completely whole without Skybase.

Also (if not too much to ask) can we have the rainbow build back as well ?

 

I remember the times when all the Skin Competitions were hosted there. If it is back it will bring back so many memories

I think we should have the chests so people can give free stuff in them (not illegal items)

 

The main reason skybase existed was due to trading back before the addition of tradeshops and for the donor area up at the top. It provided a safer space than islands, as neither player could destroy the surroundings and no third person was unable pick up the items from trade ultimately causing a scam.

The donor lounge at the top was unneeded, as it contained nothing of use, no shops, no villagers etc. - we have a separate donor warp for that anyway.

Towards the end there was an issue with world guard in the area anyway, as nobody was able to open the enderchest or chests to leave items.

There were also limitations with the skin competition, as there was often not enough stools for the amount of players participating, and there was no control over who could and couldn't enter once the competition had begun.

So yes, although I do have fond memories of jumping from the trees at a very old skybase, the need for it is outdated - so therefore I say no support.

Yes, I do miss the old skin competition. We have a lot of warps that aren't used, but adding the skin comp, the old plan, and skybase back together would be great.

 

I would support this way too many times.
The old skin comp area was my place. You could've found me there all the time. (I won way too many) They used to be free. xD Even though the only purpose it had was for skin comps, I think it would be a great addition for newer members and old members.

Cos it was an old warp called /Warp Skybase where you could go into private rooms with other players to trade and stuff like that, and there was also a quartz+beacon skin comp area where I have fond memories chatting to Krissy for the first time in 2014 xD
