I just said kill yourself not to anyone, but its a shame that this server saws so fun back in the day and now all of my work is gone and all of the old fun spawns but you have changed it so much and i done even see my old favorite sever any more. why would you reset everything in the first place i had over 500 hours in that base who and im righting to you to clam the f down anyou can say fgt and Iget banned for it so i am making this so i can play with my friends again

Hi Lipty, despite what you think, your ban is actually valid. I know it's frustrating that saying something so little as "kill yourself" can get you banned for so long, especially if you don't mean it. I'm sure I've had friends in the past tell me to do something along those lines, and I probably wasn't affected too badly by it. I know you most likely didn't mean what you said, but please try to see the reasoning behind the rule itself. There are many out there that are depressed, unstable, or even suicidal; some of those people might just so happen to play on our server. If something is said along the lines of "kill yourself" on a minecraft server, it might push some that are in really bad spots in their lives over the edge. Unfortunately, this doesn't reflect badly upon the person who wrote those words, and instead the server itself is blamed for allowing that to happen. It is much safer for our server to outlaw the discussion of suicide and phrases such as "kill yourself" than to potentially deal with a lawsuit that would shut the server down. Hopefully that makes it easier to understand why you were banned for "death threats" even though you personally might not have been trying to threaten anyone. Furthermore, we try to enforce the idea of a G-rated server, so that kids of all ages can play. Suicide certainly isn't a G-rated topic, so we encourage players to not discuss it.
