We are looking to get a new icon for the Mineverse/Skyblock discord server. The icon is the image that appears next to the server:


Mineverse has a competition every month, for the month of April, this is our competition. Since the discord server is for both Mineverse AND Skyblock, we are asking that you participate too.

What we are looking for:
The icon should be creative and incorporate both servers; Mineverse & Skyblock.
The image can not be smaller than 128 x 128, recommended size is around 300 x 300

You can participate by filling out the format on the Mineverse thread, replying here, or privately messaging Krissy with your submission. Krissy will then reply to the Mineverse thread on your behalf with your submission.

If you win, your artwork will be featured on our discord, and you can get a custom rank on the discord server OR your own emoji.

I'm doing multiple so you can choose what one is liked best.
Programs used:
I used Fire Alpaca for the galaxy background, I used a Logo Maker for the text, and I used MS paint to piece the two pieces together.

 

Some recommendations

Please be wary about using text in your designs. Though it's recommended that you use an image that's at least 300x300 in size, the final image gets shrunk down to 128x128. This makes text incredibly difficult to read unless you've got everything bolded, capitalized, and in a large, visible font. Furthermore, I'd also recommend straying away from complicated designs. More often than not, people will try to cram as much artwork that they can into a 300x300 space, but shrunken down and fit into a circle makes it look cluttered and messy. From what I've seen, the most simple and visually pleasing designs turn out best.

If we don't have a discord or don't wanna say the name and we win, can the image be signed at the bottom of the image?

 

If you chose not to provide your discord name and your submission ended up winning, that would mean you wouldn't receive your custom discord role (which is the prize for winning). If you're fine with that, you don't have to put your name. Your artwork will still be featured. You can put whatever you choose on it (remember the appearance will still be taken into accountable when deciding if it's the winner), but the signature wouldn't likely be visible if viewing it from the little icon on discord.

It will be made publicly known who won and likely tweeted about on the MV/SB twitter, if that's what you're concerned about (being acknowledged for your work, that is).
