You made your point, but he gave a valid reason so what I said does have to do something. You do realize that even if it wasn't him who got picked, no one would still got out of their seat until the compensation money was high enough to convince some people. And also the security are not allowed to drag someone out of their seat unless they are being disrespectful...In this case, Dr. Dao was not he was refusing in a calm manner and gave a valid reason why.

If I was asked to leave my seat I would ask if I was being removed from the flight permanently or if it was just a seating issue and whether I would need to collect my luggage. I would then leave because I am a mature person that has no intent to cause drama in the preparation of a flight, delaying other people's flights in the process.

Does no one read the fine print? You have no right to compensation should you be removed from the flight. They do not need to offer you something for leaving. They ask you to leave, you best leave. The security has the right to use force if you refuse to listen to them. They may have got a little rough, but it's clear that the argument started well before the video because it's midspeech when it starts.

This entire situation could have been avoided if the man acted like an adult and left. Sadly, humans are like this and no one worth a cent will understand that there is more to being respectful than using nice words. If he was asked off the flight, they had a damn good reason and he should listen and accept that.

Yes lol, he paid for his flight. The only reason he was kicked off the plane is because the airline overbooked which is their fault. Since no one volunteered to get on the next flight, they started to pick people and happened to pick this man.
They do offer compensation lol, usually you get a refund or the next flight.

Since the airline was not overbooked technically, legally, they could not remove him off of the flight.

Lol 98% people dont read it.
So basically saying I paid for a seat and now I am being removed from my seat and not getting a refund or a next flight? So If I paid $500 which I worked hard for 4 months on to go on a vacation and get removed a flight for some reason and never receive all (or at least part) of my money back. So I just wasted 500 bucks for entering and exiting an airplane right?

    Uhhhh....
You known average salary for an adult is like...50k ish right... and for a doctor, much higher...
500 dollars is literally nothing. It may be a lot to younger people, but 500 is barely anything... Im doing part time work right now and if I work 5 hours a day, 5 times a week, in two weeks I'll make about 500.

It's quite... I don't even know the word... a bit much to think it takes 4 months for 500 dollars.
