Why does it say waiting for moderator approval every time I post on a thread I just signed up so why?

 

Your first few posts need to be approved by moderators for the purpose of keeping spam bots and such off the server. After we've approved a few of your posts, they'll no longer need approval before the post is public.

On a similar note, you'll also have to of posted 25 messages before gaining the access to use ratings. Both of these are to protect the forums from accounts coming on and immediately abusing the post/rating feature.

Does that make sense?
