I've been on this website long enough to know that not everybody gets along. But recently, I have been seeing many players pick on either younger players, or players who seem to have a bad history. And it's not just people "picking" on others. I've seen the words "idiot", "retard" and dumbass" floating around here. It's time to put an end to it. Sure, some players might be complete a*****es, but that's no reason to be one back to them. Two wrongs don't make a right. Let's take vfhuuuuu for example. He has a pretty bad reputation on the server. But he, himself, said he was going to try to improve himself now. It's good that he's doing this, and I completely respect that. However, I've recently seen other players (not naming names) constantly harass him, and I fear that it will get to the point that he might become depressed, or worse, suicidal. I had a close friend that took his own life because of internet harassment. Let's not let this happen on this website, at all! A couple hours ago, Epic_Eddie changed his status. I recommend you go check it out (it made me tear up). I don't know him well enough, but I know people are constantly harassing him for his past behavior, his PAST BEHAVIOR. The past is in the past, just let it go! And Epic_Eddie just accepts it, which just makes me even more sad. It's gotten to the point where the victim even thinks it's true. It's sad to see this all happen right before my eyes. People who are close to me in a way, being constantly picked on and harassed. I just want it all to stop.
Schmoobin this bothers me too. I do honestly feel crappy about myself, and part of the reason I made that post on my status was to see how others would act. It goes to show what the community thinks of me. I am aspiring to be a moderator, so I feel that need to know what others really think to provide transparency. TBH, those are things I think about myself. I had multiple purposes in that post. But enough about me. there are multiple others who are victims too. Harrassing, and disrespect is actually against the rules and can be reported. But I still invite others to see my post and react honestly.
You are right about one thing, cyber bullying is very bad for a person. I am sorry for your loss of your close friend. Personally I want to be a mod, but some people are just torturing me and saying, "oo you will be a bad mod", "you are soo immature", etc. Yes I gotta admit, what I did wrong (I wont tell because I am scared that people are gonna slam me again :-( ) but there is no reason to slam me 100 times and saying that I will be a terrible mod after all the apologies I had made. To make matters worse, this happened before my first semester finals, and I felt so bad and let down. I didn't want this to impact my semester final grades. Luckily somehow I managed to get over it and do fine on my semester finals.
Sadly, this happens to people around us Sometimes, I wish everyone could just get along. But unfortunately, we can't solve everyone's problems. ):
If the filter was more lenient I'd be going all out on certain people, but the site is boring :/ imo those words are nothing. they're pure insults which hold no substance to them.
