see this a lot when mods just assume the thread is ready to be locked without the creator's approval. This is specifically for the help section so
I always ask if their question has been answered first, however I feel like this should be some sort of requirement as I can see the frustration that can be created from it.
Most of the times we do ask for their approval, when we don't we know their question has been answered. When we know their question has been answered correctly, we lock it. There's no need for this.
I don't see why you don't think it's a good idea? Then mods don't have to drop the common sense bomb every time.
I give full support, as I imagine that part of the time, the moderators could very well be misunderstanding what is going on. Many things are up to the moderators' discretion, however sometimes they could accidently make mistakes. I believe that a moderator should ask before locking, unless it's obvious as to why they are. For example, if someone makes a mod application and doesn't fulfill the requirements, or if something is clearly posted in the incorrect section. I give this support.
