Piano isn't that hard to pick up and once you learn the basics you can play lots of songs. Highly suggest you don't do a brass instrument - they take tons of air and the sound really depends on how fast the air is. And unless you're okay with looking somewhat like a man pooping, and enjoy contemplating your life/why you made the decision to actually play the devil compressed into an instrument it's probably not your cup of tea.

ALSO I know this isn't listed but you should try ukulele, it's really easy to pick up and I learnt the basics in a week or two.

 

Does Garage Band count?

 

I play the guitar and the piano. I have been playing piano for 14 years, and i have played guitar for 11 years.

 

Gotta say, Piano is a good start.

Out of all the instruments I've played, the trombone or the trumpet have to be my favorite!
