i am a polish jew. if you didnt know, polands population pre wwii was largely composed of jews, thus poland was one of the, if nit the most, most affected countries. my great grandma barely escaped poland. my family members were killed in the war. i have absolutely no tolerance for discrimination of any sort, however anti semitism hits hardest. pewdiepie isnt a nazi or a white supremacist or any of that stupid extremist talk. but what he said was absolutely tastless, and i feel hurt by it. the media largely overdid it with te entire omg pewdiepie is a nazi!!!!!!! narrative, but just because that happened doesnt mean significance should be taken away from felixs idiotic remark.
I am also a Polish Jew. My family escaped Europe to come to America and started a business in New York, which is about where my family has remained since. Even so, I am not offended by anything PewDiePie has said. As I already stated, most of it was in jest, and the rest was done purposely to be edgy. It's a very dark sense of humor, but I found all of it funny and didn't once think "Wow, he's insulting my family." Of course everyone's entitled to their own reactions on the subject, but I'm saying as one of the people who is supposedly directly offended, I'm not... What does that say about everyone else?
7 i find it tasteless and rude. by no means, however, does that mean i speak for all of us. im just saying that this is how i personally feel about it. i think i worded mine a bit aggresively actually, but my opinion here stands.
Well, tasteless is subjective; as I said, you have to like that sort of humor. As for rude, I don't think it was at all. If anything, it was rude towards the people he was mocking, but not towards 'Jews' as a whole.
