I built my new gaming PC Last night and i was anxious to play some skyblock on the server. But when i try to connect i get "Loading Terrain" for about 2 minutes and then it puts me in the game for like half a second then shows 2 error messages. Sometimes it says "Sending too many packets" and sometimes it says "Forcibly closed by remote host." Any help?
The "Sending too many packets" is triggered by doing too many steps/events within certain time period (similar to flying but not quite). This happens a lot when you have a bad connection/ping and are lagging badly. Try restarting your internet or reclogging into your minecraft. If the problem consists, Contact me and I will try to help you!
I had this same issue for a month or so. I tried unblocking all my ports, reinstalling minecraft, resetting password, contacted my internet provider for 4 hours on the phone, and almost everything you can think of. I had to wait for it to fix itself, and it finally did after a while. I believe this is an ISP problem. I would wait it out more first since there doesn't seem to be much you can do
This is most likely occurring due to the server having a packet limiter. As of recently, there was an issue with users crashing servers by sending an excessive amount of packets while using a specific 1.9 modified client, which is why the packet limiter would have been implemented. Your client is exceeding the maximum amount of packets the server allows you to send. This could be due to you using a large amount of mods, hacked clients, etc. Staff could very easily up the pps and this would no longer be an issue.
That's something only administrators can do unfortunately. I believe Cyp already increased the amount of packets allowed as well.
Well clearly not by enough. We had this issue on Minetime, but I was able to fix it just by upping the pps.
I'm sure Cyp increased the amount of packets but this is something on where you have to wait out. It's happened to me before and it took many hours/days for it to be resolved. But also this could be from something wrong you've made from your computer.
try closing apps that are eating up your internet or just fresh restart your PC and loading skyblock up
I still have the same issue e_e Sometimes it works fine, but others I can't log in at all. It's really frustrating, but you just have to keep trying hun. Like they've said, I notice it more often when there's someone else using the net or something as well.
