Currently, there are only certain prefixes you can use when reporting: You cannot make a report without selecting a prefix, so it's important to have one for all possible things to be reported for. My suggestion is to add an "Illegal Trading" prefix. This is for reporting people trading dirt/lava/sand, and people trading skyblock items for irl $ (things outside of skyblock) since both are against the rules.
We have suggestions already for merging grief and loot (see the extra looting) and adding the prefix "Other" and perhaps "Forums" to cover everything else. Illegal trade isn't the most reported crime on skyblock and only a handful of people have reported in the past as usually they would be involved in the trade rather than spectate it. Which is why I feel having a prefix for it specifically isn't as useful as something like "Other" would be which can be used for anything that isn't a prefix (such as death threats, misc chat offences, island farming etc).
If there's a way you (or the moderator handling the report) to enter their own prefix, I think that would be best.
I think that'd be perfect to include an "other". I am suggesting this currently since illegal trading (trading diamonds for things outside of skyblock) has been happening a lot recently and we've clarified with Cyp that it is against the rules here. It made me see the necessity of this prefix. Although, if "other" is added, that'd be fine for this case as well.
I would just eliminate the need for the prefix and have the offense in the title. Then we don't need to think about categories.
Just because it is illegal doesn't mean people report it. As I said those who partake in this trade wont report it and it happens so quietly you wont know it has been done until someone mentions it. If people advertise it in chat someone just reports it and tags it as spam. However mods don't not handle it just because of the prefix. Years of experience and i've never seen a need for an illegal trade prefix. There was even a time before prefixes and everything was dandy.
I support. As Krissy mentioned a "other" possibility, I like her idea the best. Because there is more than illegal trading. I know I have reported for profanity and sexual harrasement before. I am sure there are other reasons as well. But yes, 100% support.
