Hello everybody, this is connortim9 and I am here to talk about a terrible issue that has been reoccurring in my life.
    ----------------------------------------------------
So, about a month ago my sister broke up with her boyfriend. What sucks about this is that she made him forget about his depression. But now that she is gone, he is even more suicidal than ever.
I have been trying me best to tell him comforting things but it isn't working. I have told him to meet up with a therapist but his family doesn't have the money for it. I have been texting him for a long time and he thinks he's going to end it all really soon.

Please help me, he is such a nice person and It would leave a huge scar in my heart knowing that I didn't have the knowledge to save his life.
Thank you for spending your time reading my thread. Please comment and have a nice day

This depression existed before you or your sister came along, neither of you are to blame for it. Encourage him to talk to his parents about how he is feeling as they may be able to get the money together for a few sessions, or a doctor who could give him something for it that might help. In the meantime, find toll free numbers in your area that are like suicide help line numbers or online free therapist pages that can give him some tips to cope, give them to him, and then that is it. It is up to him to take help that is offered to him. It's good that you are there for him if he ever wants to talk, that's for sure, but you need to just encourage him to seek help, then realize that you have done all you possibly can. x

The worst is when you know there's nothing you can do about it. The most and best thing you can do is reassure them that they matter and are loved. Good luck x

Try making him feel more loved and cared about. As Zephyr said there's nothing you can do about it and it's not your faut as the depression existed from before you or your sister came along in his life. I'm really sorry to hear that X_X

I have talked to him about a therapist, but he doesn't want to do it. I'm telling him it will help him but he just gets snappy at me whenever I mention it. I'll try some of the things you've said. Thank you so much
