The first part is basically already implemented. All mods need proof for bans and we have to log it. The player doesn't normally ask for proof. We've only had a few cases where they have, and they normally end up being the same people. And if I mod loses proof for some reason or can't find it, the player is unbanned anyway. We have our own rules and guidelines that we follow. Just because you can't see them, doesn't mean they aren't there. They are unwritten in your section but written in ours. The second part I feel will just drag out appeals. Neutral.

Owner is not staff. The main difference being that if he wants to ban you because he thinks that on the date you joined the server the planets alignment had a negative impact on his server, he can. And no one can do anything about it.

For example my internet cut so I was banned for scamming.. if you unban me I'll pay my side of the trade.

 

There was one time where I was muted by a mod, who was later demoted but is now a mod again (great...), simply because he was tired of me talking.

I appealed and literally 3 mods were harassing me saying I deserved all of it. One great example is sitting on my wall if you want to read through it. I asked for proof of any wrong doing and it was never given, because none existed. I was muted simply because they felt like muting me. The mute was left to time itself out.

The kicker is that the mod who muted me in the first place came in and locked my appeal thread saying again that I deserved it, though he had no evidence or proof to back anything up. I had evidence of them harassing me about the situation, but of course that didn't lead anywhere. How cool is that!

We, as players, are asked and required to have screenshots any time we accuse anyone, anywhere, and especially any mod, of doing something wrong. Mods should simply be held to that same standard.

What I take out of this suggestion is that this applies to staff. Although they can do whatever they like, the owners/admins are staff members. Personally, I believe that for a server to be good, the owners have to follow the same standards and set the same example as all other staff members, because if you are not doing the things you are strictly enforcing, simply put, that's called being a hypocrite. Yes, Cyp isn't required to follow any of that moderator guidelines nonsense, but shouldn't he? That's my suggestion. ALL staff members should be setting a better example and enforcing the rules that exist, not making them up.

Even the president of the United States pays the same taxes as the people who call it home.
