    Suggestion Part I:
We should add a rule that says, "Mods must show proof of the players' rule-breaking actions and show what rule they have broken. If there is no/insufficient proof, the players' punishment shall be repealed." I have been banned several times by a former mod when I know they have no proof of me breaking a rule. I want this rule because bans shouldn't be unjust.* So, when a player appeals a ban/long mute, the banning mod must provide proof. I know it's all gonna be "It's a staff rule already yada yada staff report yada yada non-existent common sense rule blah" but this needs to be a rule that players can see so that players know they have a right to proof.

    Suggestion Part II:
Add something along the lines of this rule:
In cases where proof cannot be shown directly to the banned player for any reason, and where proof exists, proof should be provided in hidden content and at least 2 unrelated mods must say that proof is sufficient. This can be done in any way, the banned player does not have to see this exchange.

The second part is in response to the situation that Lemonade talked about.

*unless if cyp does it then it's ok for some reason. looking at Crimsonwrath and dolpinmilk

I know there's been multiple times as a mod where I've seen the mod start panicking because they've lost the screenshot/no proof. In this case, I believe the player deserves an unban.

    Support.

That's how it's always been. If the moderator has no evidence, they cannot keep a player banned.

That's cool and all with it being an unwritten rule, but I want to make it written.

    I wanna be a lawyer

Unwritten rules and things that aren't in writing usually are treated as they don't exist.

And if it's a ban for an idiotic reason, all staff members, not just mods, should be required to provide proof of where it can be listed as a rule, because I've known some staff members to ban for stupid reasons that are just completely made up rules *cough*

Also, I believe all players deserve a proper reply before their ban appeal is denied.
