Dodgy Auctions

    Just letting people know about dodgy auctions.
    Latest example is "TheToastyLegend"

    Selling items in an auction and announcing as sold when not.

    It's an auction they can say "Sold" at any time they want. If you made the bid, that constitutes a trade agreement. And if you back out, they can actually report you for making false bids.

    So he said sold and then didn't sell it to you?

    that's not something you'd report though,, he can end the auction whenever he wants

    It's not bannable to end an auction early/cancel it afaik.

    If a player doesn't like the outcome of the bid, they would most likely do that or just stop posting about it. They probably though they'd say "Sold" to end it since no one else was bidding. Since they didn't like the outcome, they just didn't message you. I wouldn't say this is illegal. It is sketchy, though. It would of been better if they just said it was canceled.

    It's rude if you bid on something (and win) then you don't buy what you bid on but if the auctioneer randomly puts you in the auction I have no ide why'd they do that other than to drive the price up lol

    I used to do this for my coop buddy all the time. lol Auctions. waste of time and dignity
