I can't find any of the old threads about hacking. Is it still legal to do it or not? If it is illegal, then I would want to put it in my thread of rules that needs stating. If it is legal, then the threads that explained what hacks were legal where need to be reinstated.

I'm asking because the subject was brought to my attention by Frederic in my thread, I see players get banned for hacking in the /ma j, and I've heard that an anti-cheat was installed.

Thanks for finding that for me, but this thread is very old. I still don't know if you can now.

 

Anti-cheat should stop you from using the major game-changing hacks such as fly. Hacks that replace donor perks are illegal because they reduce the benefits offered to donors. Hacks that improve graphics are fine. Most other hacks are legal on your own island because they don't harm the server or other players. Players are banned for using hacks in the mob arena because hacks can allow a player to survive all the waves and accumulate awards.
